چکیده
Studies of the cellular immunology and protein structure of human and mouse CD1 proteins reveal these to be a family of antigen-presenting molecules that allow T cells to recognize lipid and glycolipid antigens of microbial pathogens.

The measurement of droplet size distribution of water-oil emulsion through NMR method
The effects of water/oil volume ratio, type and concentration of demulsifier, water salinity and mixing speed on the average water droplets size in water-oil emulsion are evaluated at different times through NMR measurements. The type and concentration of demulsifier have the greatest effects on the average droplet size with 38% and 31.5%, respectively. The water/oil volume ratio, water salinity...
متن کاملAn Experimental Investigation of Different Formation Waters and Injection Water Incompatibility to Obtain the Optimum Water Mixing Ratio in Injection Processes
Scale formation and well plugging due to the incompatibility of injected waters is a critical field problem in oil recovery. A water injection process was successfully performed when the identification of the source of water, water quality considerations, and laboratory compatibility tests were considered. When different waters are mixed, it is necessary to evaluate their compatibility prior to...
متن کاملCharacterization of oil and water accommodated fractions used to conduct aquatic toxicity testing in support of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill natural resource damage assessment.
The Deepwater Horizon blowout resulted in the release of millions of barrels of crude oil. As part of the Trustees' Natural Resource Damage Assessment, a testing program was implemented to evaluate the toxicity of Deepwater Horizon oil and oil/dispersant mixtures to aquatic organisms from the Gulf of Mexico. Because of the variety of exposures that likely occurred, the program included 4 Deepwa...
متن کاملImproved technique for the preparation of water-in-oil emulsions containing protein antigens.
Water-in-oil emulsions are commonly used to provide persistent release of antigens necessary for sustained stimulation of the immune system. Optimal response of an animal's immune system is dependent upon repeated, maintained exposure to the antigen. The sustained release of antigen, which delays catab-olism, is thought to be one of the major methods by which adjuvants enhance the immune respon...
متن کاملFormulation development and optimization of palm kernel oil esters-based nanoemulsions containing sodium diclofenac
Response surface methodology was employed to study the effect of formulation composition variables, water content (60%-80%, w/w) and oil and surfactant (O/S) ratio (0.17-1.33), as well as high-shear emulsification conditions, mixing rate (300-3,000 rpm) and mixing time (5-30 minutes) on the properties of sodium diclofenac-loaded palm kernel oil esters-nanoemulsions. The two response variables w...
